Network Architecture for 6G Networks
Period: December 2020 – July 2023
My doctoral research examined how network protocols can support communication services with strict delay requirements. The broader project explored a self-evolving and transformative protocol architecture for 6G, including transport and routing designs that can adapt to different service needs.
My work covered three connected directions:
- Architecture: Study a protocol architecture that can evolve as network requirements change.
- Transport: Design an updatable eXpress Transport Protocol as part of that architecture.
- Routing: Develop delay-guaranteed routing protocols for services with explicit latency requirements.
This research led to work on the DGR and DDR routing protocols, as well as related scheduling and routing research. See the selected publications for the papers, or visit the project repository.
